Inspired by my journey through immigration, this glove represents the fear, hope, and fight that comes with not knowing if you’ll be allowed to stay in the place you call home.

A story that many immigrants go through.

Five years ago, I became an "equal" in the eyes of this country. But I still remember the fear, the constant uncertainty of whether someone could take away my chance to live, grow, and belong here.

With so many immigrants still facing that struggle, this glove is for those still searching to be part of something, to be seen, accepted, and valued.

I added barbed wire as a symbol of the physical and emotional barriers that many immigrants are forced to cross, borders that don’t just separate land, but lives, families, and dreams. It’s a reminder of the pain, the risk, and the resilience it takes to leave everything behind in search of something better.

The phrase “lo mío no fue suerte” (“mine wasn’t luck”) is stitched in as a tribute to the countless people whose journeys are too often dismissed or misunderstood. It wasn’t chance that got them here, it was sacrifice, sleepless nights, effort, and a will to survive and succeed.

Proceeds from this glove will be donated to support immigrants currently struggling through these difficult times.
